Our Mission

Over the past 20 years, Colorado has made huge strides when it comes to supporting its workers. Union electoral campaigns and contributions have been a key part of these steps forward, but our work isn't done yet.

Running electoral programs in State Legislative districts to ensure accountability of all candidates, regardless of political affiliation

Creating a bench of pro-labor candidates for races at all levels of the ballot

Creating a new electoral table structure that centers on the concerns of labor and working people, not replicate what has existed before

Building power for working people

Recruiting for open seats in primaries for the State Legislature

Corporations and their allies have been effectively working against the interests of Coloradans by focusing on electing candidates who favor corporations over workers, allowing them to maintain an effective anti-labor majority.

It is imperative to better align our electoral strategy and resources with an agenda that will improve the lives of working people, make it easier to grow unions, and create racial and economic justice. We do this by electing pro-union candidates who align with our values.

The Colorado Labor Electoral Table makes it clear:

1.

If you aren’t pro-union, you aren’t upholding the values of working people.

2.

If you aren’t pro-worker,

you aren’t upholding progressive values.

3.

If you aren’t pro-organizing against oppressive forces, you aren’t upholding American values.

In order to shift the power dynamics within our government, WE as organized labor must lead in selecting candidates who will advocate for higher wages and fight price gouging by corporations and their allies in office.

Together through the work of the Colorado Labor Action Electoral Table, we can create more champion legislators for labor, and ensure we get the respect and dignity we deserve.
